Below you will find our General Terms and Conditions. These apply whenever you use the services of Sole Archive or place an order via our Website. The General Terms and Conditions contain important information for you as a buyer. We further advise you to read these terms carefully.

1. Company Details & Definitions

  • Sole Archive: company that selects, restores, and sells vintage designer shoes.

  • Products: all vintage designer shoes offered by Sole Archive.

  • Webshop: located in Amsterdam and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under registration number 42019779, trading under the name Sole Archive.

  • Website: the website of Sole Archive, to be consulted via www.solearchive.nl and all associated subdomains.

  • Customer: the natural person who, not acting in the exercise of a profession or business, enters into an agreement with webshop Sole Archive and/or has registered on the website.

  • Agreement: every arrangement or agreement between the webshop, Sole Archive, and the customer, of which the General Terms and Conditions form an integral part.

  • General Terms and Conditions: the present General Terms and Conditions.

2. Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all orders, purchases, agreements, and deliveries via the webshop of Sole Archive, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions. Any (general) terms and conditions of the customer are expressly rejected.

3. Prices and Information

All prices stated on the Website and on other media originating from Sole Archive include VAT. Prices may change if other government levies are imposed. Shipping costs are not included in the product price and are displayed separately during checkout. Sole Archive reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect already placed orders. The content of the website has been compiled with the greatest care. However, Sole Archive cannot guarantee that all information on the website and on other media originating from Sole Archive is correct. Therefore, these are subject to programming and typing errors. We are not bound by mentioned offers in the event of printing, typesetting, or programming errors on the website, newsletter, or other media. Sole Archive reserves the right to refuse orders or to request additional information. Sole Archive reserves the right to change prices and correct any errors in price listings. We guarantee that the delivered products comply with the agreement and the reasonable requirements of soundness and usability. If a defect in the product is reported in a timely manner, we will repair or replace the defect as soon as possible. Sole Archive is not liable for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from the use of the products or services of Sole Archive. The liability of Sole Archive is limited to the amount of the invoice value of the respective products or services. We are not obliged to fulfill any obligation towards the customer if hindered from doing so by force majeure.

  • Force majeure includes: illness, strikes, transport problems, business interruptions, fire, floods, and other serious disruptions in the business of Sole Archive or its suppliers.

4. Delivery

Sole Archive strives to deliver the order within the stated delivery time but cannot be held liable for delays caused by external factors. The products are delivered by DHL. The shipping time within the Netherlands is within 2 working days after receipt of payment, unless otherwise agreed. The delivery time depends on the processing time at DHL. If the delivery time is not feasible, we will inform the customer of this in a timely manner.

5. Right of Withdrawal / Returns

This only applies to the customer being a natural person who is not acting in the exercise of his profession or business. The Customer has the right to dissolve the distance agreement with the webshop, website, or other (social) media channel, Sole Archive within 7 days after receiving the product, without giving any reasons. The period commences on the day after the customer, or a third party designated by them in advance, who is not the carrier, has received the product, or:

  • If the customer has ordered multiple products in the same order: the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by them, received the last product;

  • If the delivery of a product consists of several shipments or parts: the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by them, received the last product;

  • For Agreements for regular delivery of products during a certain period: the day on which the Customer, or a third party designated by them, received the first product.

The Customer must bear the return costs themselves. The shipping costs incurred by the Customer when purchasing the product are not included in the return costs and remain at the customer's own expense. Within the withdrawal period referred to in paragraph A, the Customer will handle the product and the packaging with care. The Customer will only open the packaging and use the product to the extent necessary to ascertain the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products. The Customer is only liable for depreciation of the product resulting from a way of handling the product that goes beyond what is allowed in the previous paragraph. The Customer can dissolve the agreement in accordance with the period set in paragraph A of this Article by sending the model withdrawal form to Sole Archive, or by making it known to Sole Archive in another unambiguous manner that they are waiving the purchase. Sole Archive will confirm receipt of a digital notification. After receipt, the customer has the right to return an order within 7 days. The customer must check the delivered product upon receipt for any defects and report defects in writing to us within 7 days of receipt.

You can drop off your package at a DHL point for €6.95. Please note: different orders cannot be returned in a single package. The product can only be returned if it meets the following conditions:

  • The product is unworn and in the same condition as received.

  • The product is not damaged by use.

  • The original packaging is complete.

  • The return shipment is at your own expense.

  • The return has been requested within the 7-day period.

Follow the steps below to return your items: We think it is important that you are satisfied with your order. Should you still wish to return something, please read below on how you can easily do so.

How do you register a return?

  1. Send an email to: Solearchive.ams@gmail.com with a confirmation of the order you wish to return.

  2. State the reason for the return.

  3. Once we have approved your return request, you will receive a return label and a QR code via email. Please note: this may end up in your spam folder.

  4. Stick the return label on the box and hand it in at the nearest DHL parcel point.

  5. As soon as the shoes have been received by us, the purchase amount will be refunded to the same account number used to make the purchase.

Return Costs & Packaging

  • The return costs are €6.95. This amount will be deducted from the refund.

  • Return costs are the responsibility of the consumer. The shipping costs incurred by the Customer when purchasing the product are not included in the return costs and remain at the customer's own expense.

  • Ensure that the product is returned in its original packaging.

  • The customer is solely responsible for returning the package. If the return package is lost or damaged during transport, Sole Archive cannot be held liable for this.

After receipt and approval of the return shipment, the purchase amount will be refunded within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Products, Availability & Authenticity

Sole Archive exclusively sells carefully selected vintage designer shoes. All products are unique and only available once. Once an item is sold, it is no longer available. All products are checked for authenticity and, if necessary, professionally cleaned and restored. This check is done with the utmost care and expertise but remains human work, although we strive to exclusively offer authentic products of the highest quality. Because we give designer shoes a second life, signs of use may be present. These are displayed as accurately and transparently as possible in product photos and descriptions. By purchasing, the customer acknowledges that these are second-hand products.

7. Payment and Retention of Title

An agreement is concluded at the moment the payment is successfully completed. The Customer must fulfill payments to Webshop Sole Archive according to the payment methods indicated in the ordering procedure and possibly on the Website. Webshop Sole Archive is free to choose the offering of payment methods and these may also change from time to time. Payment must be made at the time of ordering via one of the offered payment methods. All delivered products remain the property of Sole Archive until the customer has fulfilled all their payment obligations. As long as the ownership of the products has not been transferred to the customer, the customer is not permitted to sell, pledge, or otherwise encumber the products. All intellectual property rights regarding the products and services of Sole Archive reside with Sole Archive. The customer is not permitted to use these intellectual property rights without prior written permission from Sole Archive. Disputes and applicable law. Sole Archive reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders without stating reasons. In that case, any amount paid will be refunded.

8. Liability

Sole Archive is not liable for damage resulting from the use of the products, unless there is gross negligence. Given the vintage nature of the products, no guarantee can be given on lifespan or wear and tear after purchase. The liability of Sole Archive is limited to the amount of the invoice value of the respective products or services.

9. Personal Data (Privacy)

Sole Archive processes personal data in accordance with applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data is exclusively used for processing orders and is not shared with third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sole Archive website, including texts, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Sole Archive and may not be used, copied, or distributed without permission.

11. Transparency & Information

Sole Archive strives for the most transparent communication possible about products, prices, and conditions. The general terms and conditions are accessible at all times via the website.

12. Complaints

Complaints about the delivered products or services can be reported via the email address: solearchive.ams@gmail.com, then we will answer them as soon as possible. Complaints about the execution of the agreement must be submitted to the entrepreneur fully and clearly described within a reasonable time after the consumer has discovered the defects. Complaints submitted to Sole Archive will be answered within a period of 14 days calculated from the date of receipt. If a complaint requires a foreseeable longer processing time, the entrepreneur will reply within the period of 14 days with a notice of receipt and an indication of when the consumer can expect a more detailed answer.

13. Amendments

Sole Archive reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions. The most current version is always available on the website. Amendments do not affect already concluded agreements.

14. Final Provision

These general terms and conditions enter into force on April 15, 2026, and apply to all orders placed from that date. Sole Archive reserves the right to amend or supplement these general terms and conditions. Any amendments or additions to these general terms and conditions are only effective after they have been confirmed in writing by Sole Archive. Sole Archive is entitled to use third parties in the execution of orders. In these general terms and conditions, 'in writing' is understood to mean: by letter, by email, or via the contact form on the Sole Archive website. In the event of ambiguity regarding the interpretation of one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions, the interpretation must take place 'in the spirit' of these provisions.

These terms and conditions have been drawn up to ensure clarity, transparency, and trust between Sole Archive and its customers.
